Who we are:
Our main drop-in sessions provide food, showers and basic services for more than a two hundred people each week, reducing isolation and improving health and wellbeing alongside our outings and small group activities.
We also provide focused keywork according to individual needs, supporting people to find stability and working together to improve their quality of life.
Established by St Stephenʼs, Canonbury more than 29 years ago, we continue to draw extensive local support, doing whatever we can to help socially excluded people feel part of the local community. Meet the team below:
Kemi has been at The Manna for ten years and regularly cooks for over 200 clients a week on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. She makes everything from scratch and the food is fantastic. Kemi also runs baking sessions once a month to encourage people to join in and learn some simple home recipes. If you need some food items to take away have a chat to Kemi and see how we can help.
Kate joined The Manna in May 2015 and manages the key work for our clients and manages each client according to their needs. Every session, Kate helps clients fill in forms, make phone calls, refer them to housing, drug and alcohol services and helps them with information on benefits and budgeting. She is also available if you just need someone to talk to and has a wealth of experience in helping clients get back on their feet. Email her at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office mainline on 020 7226 5369.
Kaaren joined The Manna in November 2018. She oversees the running of the sessions and is responsible for recruiting and volunteers.
